The individual events of the World Youth Judo Championships have concluded in Peru, bringing great success for Team Uzbekistan. In the heavyweight divisions, our judokas earned one silver and two bronze medals.

Umida Nigmatova claimed silver in the over 78 kg category, while Alisher Samanov (up to 90 kg) and Mukhammadali Zoirov (up to 100 kg) both secured bronze medals.

In total, Uzbekistan’s athletes finished the individual competitions with one silver and five bronze medals. According to the schedule, the mixed team events will take place today to determine the remaining winners and medalists.
