The World Junior Judo Championships in Lima, Peru, brought another success for Uzbekistan’s national team. In the men’s –81 kg category, Samariddin Mukhiddinov claimed a bronze medal, adding to the team’s growing tally at the tournament.

In the quarterfinals, Mukhiddinov lost to his opponent from Japan, but he bounced back with determination — defeating an Estonian judoka in the repechage and securing victory over a Dutch athlete in the bronze medal bout.

His performance showcased both resilience and strong competitive spirit, further reinforcing Uzbekistan’s rising status in world judo.
