A recent social media post by a group of athletes drew public attention to a sports hall in Tashkent’s Almazar district that had been put up for auction. The facility had long served as a training base for a coach with disabilities and a group of young athletes.

In response, representatives from the National Olympic Committee, Ministry of Sports, National Paralympic Committee, and the Almazar District Administration visited the site today. They met with the coach and young athletes to hear their concerns firsthand.

The gym primarily hosts boxing sessions, and for several years has also provided powerlifting training for youth with disabilities. Officials assured the athletes that their requests will be carefully reviewed in accordance with established procedures.
