Zaynab Dayibekova Wins Bronze at Flemish Open in Belgium
Uzbekistan’s sabre fencer Zaynab Dayibekova earned a bronze medal at the international “Flemish Open” tournament taking place in Ghent, Belgium.
Dayibekova advanced to the semifinals but narrowly missed out on the final after a 12:15 defeat against France’s Louise Klein.
The competition continues today with members of Uzbekistan’s men’s fencing team set to take the stage.
