Meeting with City Football Group and Exploring Manchester City’s Infrastructure
Together with my colleagues, I visited Manchester, where we held a meeting with the leadership of City Football Group. We discussed future cooperation in the development of Uzbek football and presented the systematic work being carried out in Uzbekistan to strengthen sports.
It was especially pleasant to hear high praise for our sporting nation and its recent achievements — Uzbekistan’s success at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the national football team’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
I also had the opportunity to explore the infrastructure of Manchester City Football Club in detail. Their success is no coincidence, but the result of tremendous effort, a systematic and well-coordinated approach, and great attention to even the smallest details.
This experience inspires us to adopt advanced practices in Uzbekistan and opens new horizons for cooperation with a global football holding.
To conclude the visit, we met with the team’s legendary head coach Pep Guardiola, as well as Abduqodir Khusanov, defender of Uzbekistan’s national team who plays for the “Cityzens.”
