Meeting Held with WADA President in Singapore
Today, members of the Uzbek delegation held a meeting with the President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), Witold Bańka.
Representing the Uzbek side were Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov, First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov, and NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues such as safeguarding athletes' health, strengthening the anti-doping system, sharing international best practices, and implementing joint initiatives.
At the conclusion of the talks, both the Uzbekistan representatives and WADA emphasized the importance of elevating their cooperation to a new level in order to uphold the principles of fairness and integrity in sport.
