The Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adkham Ikramov; First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Otabek Umarov; First Deputy Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee and First Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection, Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva; and NOC Secretary General, Oybek Kasimov, held a meeting with the President of World Aquatics and Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Husain Al-Musallam.

The head of World Aquatics congratulated Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva on her election to the Executive Bureau of the organization. During the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibility of developing a joint roadmap aimed at further elevating the profile of aquatic sports in Uzbekistan.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the strengthening and rapid development of bilateral cooperation. Mr. Al-Musallam in particular noted the great potential of Uzbek swimmers.

The meeting also touched on new promising areas of collaboration, including plans to increase the number of qualified professionals in aquatic sports in Uzbekistan.
