Anvar Anvarov breaks national long jump record for the second time this season
At an international athletics tournament held in Joensuu, Finland, Uzbekistan’s Anvar Anvarov delivered a standout performance by breaking the national long jump record and securing first place in the event.
In his final attempt, Anvarov recorded an impressive 8.25 meters, surpassing his own previous national record of 8.23 meters, set just a few weeks ago at an international meet in Tashkent. The remarkable leap earned him the gold medal, solidifying his status as one of the region’s top jumpers.
In the women’s high jump, Uzbekistan’s Barno Sayfullaeva also made the podium. With a mark of 1.85 meters, she earned the bronze medal, finishing third by countback.
