Opening Ceremony of the Asian Table Tennis Championships Held in Tashkent
The Asian Table Tennis Championships for U15 and U19 boys and girls officially began today in Tashkent. Just before the start of the matches, a grand opening ceremony was held to launch the prestigious continental tournament.
The event was attended by top officials from the International and Asian Table Tennis Federations, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, and the Uzbekistan Table Tennis Federation.
In their remarks, the speakers emphasized that table tennis in Uzbekistan is reaching an entirely new level of development. They noted that hosting international competitions of this scale helps boost the sport’s popularity among youth and contributes to its overall growth in the country.
