Film Premiere of “I Have the Right” Shines Light on Children’s Struggles and Hopes
The premiere of the thought-provoking film "Хаққим бор" (I Have the Right) took place at the Cinematica cinema in Tashkent, drawing attention to the dreams, aspirations, and inner worlds of modern children who face violence and social neglect.
The film powerfully explores the emotional struggles of young people seeking their place in a society that promises — but does not always deliver — protection and support. With sensitivity and depth, it portrays the resilience of children and their yearning for dignity, safety, and a better future.
The premiere was attended by officials from the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan, leaders of the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, as well as prominent figures from the world of sports and cinema.
Held in the lead-up to International Children’s Day, celebrated on June 1, the event took on special meaning. It served as a powerful call to action — urging society to reflect on the rights, opportunities, and roles of children in today’s world.
Following the screening, attendees visited an emotional exhibition of drawings created by children who have experienced violence. The artwork provided a poignant glimpse into how these children perceive the world around them and how they express their inner emotions through art.
