On the sidelines of the Triathlon and Paratriathlon World Cup stages held in Samarkand on May 24–25, high-level discussions took place between Uzbek sports authorities and Antonio Alimany, President of World Triathlon.

The meeting was hosted at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Otabek Umarov, and Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee Mukhtorkhon Tashkhodjayev extended their gratitude to Mr. Alimany for placing his trust in Uzbekistan to host world-class sporting events.

In return, Mr. Alimany praised Samarkand for consistently delivering high-caliber tournaments and highlighted the growing skill and competitiveness of Uzbek triathletes on the international stage.

The friendly and open dialogue also touched on new prospects for mutual cooperation, signaling deeper engagement between Uzbekistan and the global triathlon community.
