Officials Inspect Progress at the Olympic Village Construction Site in Tashkent
Leaders from the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, and the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan visited the construction site of the Olympic Village in Tashkent to review the current stage of development.
During the visit, officials emphasized the importance of equipping the facilities with modern sports equipment, incorporating alternative energy sources, and using high-quality construction materials.
Representatives of the Chinese company CAMC Engineering, responsible for executing the project, reported that all materials and surface finishes are being selected based on recommendations from international experts.
Once completed, the Olympic Village is expected to serve not only as a major sports hub but also as a scientific and practical center for the development of Uzbek sport. The delegation also discussed ways to enhance construction efficiency and ensure the project’s timely completion in accordance with all quality standards.
