NOC Leadership Meets with Regional Representatives to Discuss Strategic Priorities
As part of efforts to strengthen the Olympic movement across Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) is intensifying the work of its regional branches. Today, senior officials from the Ministry of Sports and the NOC held a meeting with representatives from all administrative regions of the country.
The session focused on key priorities for regional Olympic development, practical steps for implementation, and current infrastructure challenges. In an open and constructive dialogue, each regional representative shared updates on the state of local sports facilities and outlined their plans and future goals.
Otabek Umarov, First Vice President of the NOC, emphasized the importance of studying best practices from leading sporting nations such as China to optimize regional operations. He also stressed the need to create opportunities for talented youth to reach their full potential.
Participants highlighted the urgent need to streamline the work of each regional office, conduct in-depth analysis of current shortcomings, and develop effective mechanisms for addressing them.
