Takhmina Ikromova Tops Olympic Champion to Win All-Around Gold in Tashkent
The first set of medals has been awarded at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup stage currently taking place in Tashkent, and local fans had much to celebrate. In a thrilling performance, Uzbekistan’s Takhmina Ikromova outperformed the reigning Olympic champion to claim gold in the individual all-around—a proud and historic moment for the host nation.
In the group all-around competition, the Uzbek team—comprising Evelina Atalyants, Maftuna Zairova, Adelia Fayzullina, Mumtazabonu Iskhoqzoda, Amaliya Mamedova, and Irodakhon Sadykova—secured a silver medal, finishing just behind the team from Poland.
