Triumphant Return of Young Champions: Uzbekistan U17 National Team Welcomed as Heroes

The Uzbekistan U17 national football team has returned home in glory after a spectacular run at the AFC U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia. Showing remarkable resilience and determination, the young White Wolves clinched the championship title and brought pride to the nation.

A grand welcome ceremony was held at Tashkent’s Islam Karimov International Airport. Among those present were Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Head of the Presidential Administration’s Department Odil Abdurakhmanov, senior officials from the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, the Football Association, as well as players’ families, fans, and media representatives.

Dignitaries praised the team’s stellar performance throughout the tournament — with particular emphasis on their hard-fought victory in the final against the host nation. The players were commended for their grit, spirit, and sportsmanship, and were encouraged to stay determined and inspired for future challenges.

A congratulatory message from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the National Olympic Committee was read aloud, along with an official decree awarding honors to the champions and all tournament participants.

The ceremony concluded on a high note as the President’s special gifts were presented: each player received the keys to a brand-new Cobalt car, while the head coach was awarded an Equinox.
