The new week starts with good news. Zainab Dayibekova has been awarded a license for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games
Today officially marked the end of the ranking points accumulation period for fencing for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Notably, based on the ranking, Uzbekistan's representative in sabre fencing, Zainab Dayibekova, has directly qualified for the main event in Paris.
Zainab Dayibekova now becomes an Olympian for the second time. Fencers in other disciplines will participate in the continental licensing tournament in Fujairah (UAE) on April 27-28 and will compete for spots at the Olympics. As a result, Uzbekistan's delegation now has 26 licenses for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
