Safina Sadullayeva: “My Main Goal Is to Compete with Honor at the World Championships”

With the indoor athletics season approaching, Uzbekistan’s high jump specialist Safina Sadullayeva has embarked on a European tour to train and compete in a series of major international events. A member of the national team, she is focused on preparing for a critical year in her career.

– How has the winter season been for you so far?
— After a short break, I headed straight into international training camps. I’ll be training in Estonia until February 19. During this time, I also plan to take part in several international competitions across Europe.

– What goals have you set for yourself in 2025?
— My top priority is to earn a respectable result at the World Championships this summer. To qualify, I need to meet the standard of 1.97 meters. I'm also aiming to perform well at the upcoming continental and world indoor championships, which are major targets this season.

– What’s your next competition?
— I’ll be competing in an international tournament in Germany on January 29 — that will be my first event of the year. After that, I’ll return to Estonia to continue training, and depending on how I feel, I plan to test myself in several more competitions.

Sadullayeva’s disciplined approach and international schedule reflect her growing ambition to represent Uzbekistan at the highest level of world athletics.
